CyanogenMod 11 Nightlies now available for Xperia SP

If you don’t want to wait for Sony to release the Android 4.4 for your Xperia SP, then you can try the CyanogenMod 11 (based on Android 4.4) Nightlies build. This means that users can enjoy the Android 4.4 experience on their device without having to wait Sony for the release.

However, the build is still in Nightlies stage, which means that we don’t expect full smoothness on this release, but some users that have tried it experience a buttery smooth performance.

Upgrading to CyanoogenMod means that user will get guaranteed updates (usually CM build will get support for more than two years), but the disadvantages of CM is that you will lose the unique Xperia user interface (you get a stock Android interface instead).

If you want to try it, be sure you have unlocked the bootloader, and then download it from this link. You can see the About screen below and video showing Xperia SP running CM11 below it.
